Dutch & English: Communication is in Dutch and English, but you're welcome to write and perform in any language.
Join all or part of the event: You’re welcome to join the full event, just the writing session or just the creative exchange.
Ask before giving feedback: Get permission first. You’re welcome to ask if they want feedback.
Reserve your spot: Registration is required. Walk-ins can register if spots are available, but entry isn't guaranteed.
A photographer will be present during the event. Photos may be used by Art Lounge for promotion. You can choose whether you agree to appearing in these photos in the sign-up form.

About Art Lounge
Art Lounge creates events for creative people with a focus on original formats and experiences. We experiment with different concepts, unexpected twists and unique elements to create events that stand out from other similar events. We want each format to offer an experience that feels fresh, distinctive and, where possible, hasn’t been done before.We're starting with Write Away, a monthly social event for creative writers. Its format combines a 90-minute writing session with a Creative Exchange, where participants can share their progress, ask for feedback, present ideas and find people to create them with, or bring their work to the stage with a 5-minute open mic.In the long term, Art Lounge aims to expand beyond writing into different forms of art, such as drawing, painting, crafting and more, while continuing to develop new event concepts and formats.The goal is to build a thriving, welcoming creative community where people can create and connect in ways that haven't been done before.Art Lounge was founded by Alex Tran.

Registration is required to attend Write Away. You can register in advance through the Art Lounge website, and walk-in registration may also be possible on the day, subject to availability.Write Away has a limited number of spots. Once all spots have been filled, no additional attendees can be admitted.If you can no longer attend after registering, please let us know so your spot can potentially be offered to someone else.2. Event Changes & Cancellation
Art Lounge may change the date, time, location or format of Write Away when necessary.If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, registered attendees will be informed as soon as possible.3. Community Guidelines
Write Away is intended to be a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment for creative writers.We ask everyone to:
● Treat other attendees, organisers and venue staff with respect.
● Respect different perspectives, backgrounds and creative styles.
● Respect people's personal boundaries and privacy.
● Avoid harassment, discrimination, intimidation or disruptive behaviour.
● Follow reasonable instructions from the organisers and venue.
● Respect the creative space of others and allow people to participate at their own comfort level.
● Only give feedback when someone asks for it or agrees to receive it. Unsolicited feedback or criticism is not appropriate.
● Remember that sharing your writing is always voluntary. You never have to share your work if you do not want to.Art Lounge reserves the right to ask anyone who behaves inappropriately or disruptively to leave the event.4. Your Writing & Intellectual Property
Your creative work remains yours.Art Lounge does not claim ownership of any writing, ideas, stories, poems or other creative work created or shared at Write Away.Sharing your work at Write Away does not transfer your copyright or other intellectual property rights to Art Lounge or other attendees.Please respect the creative work of others:
● Do not copy another attendee's work without their permission.
● Do not publish or distribute another attendee's work without their permission.
● Do not use another attendee's creative work without their permission.5. Photography & Video
Photography and video may take place during Write Away for documentation and promotional purposes, including on the Art Lounge website and social media channels.When registering, attendees will be asked to indicate whether they consent to being photographed or filmed for these purposes. This consent is optional and is not required to attend Write Away.Attendees may change their mind and withdraw their consent at any time by informing an organiser or contacting Art Lounge through the contact form on the Art Lounge website. Where consent is withdrawn, Art Lounge will stop using the attendee's image for the relevant purposes from that point onward, subject to any processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.Please keep the following in mind:
● Attendees should not photograph, record or share images or recordings of other participants without their permission.
● If you do not consent to photography or video, please make sure your preference is indicated on the registration form or let an organiser know before or during the event.6. Personal Belongings & Venue
Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings during Write Away. Art Lounge is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged belongings.Write Away takes place at a third-party venue. Attendees must:
● Follow the venue's rules.
● Follow reasonable instructions from the organisers.
● Treat the venue and its property with care.Attendees may be held responsible for damage they intentionally or negligently cause to the venue or its property.7. Age Requirement
Write Away is a 16+ event. Attendees must be at least 16 years old to attend.Anyone under 16 is not permitted to attend unless an exception has been discussed and approved by the Art Lounge organisers in advance.Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may require the attendee to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. An exception is not guaranteed and must be agreed upon before attending.8. Contact
